State Laws & Overview

Texas Penal Code §21.08 prohibits public indecency but specifically exempts legally designated areas. Hippie Hollow at Lake Travis (Travis County Park) is the only legally designated public nudist park in Texas — the only such county-designated nude park in the nation. Private clubs operate legally statewide. Nude areas of Padre Island National Seashore are tolerated but not officially designated.
