Alaska sets its age of consent at 16. State law includes a close-in-age exemption: if the minor is between 13 and 16, sexual contact is not a crime if the other person is less than three years older. The relevant statutes are in Alaska Statutes Title 11, Chapter 41.

Alaska has no statewide sex education mandate. Individual school districts decide whether to offer sex ed, what content to cover, and what standards to apply. As a result, the quality and comprehensiveness of instruction varies widely across a geographically vast state with many remote communities. Most districts that do offer sex ed lean toward abstinence-focused content, but there is no state requirement either way.

Alaska's adult entertainment landscape is moderate by national standards. The state does not impose the heavy zoning and licensing burdens common in more restrictive states. Nudity in licensed establishments is regulated but permitted under specific conditions. The general legal culture in Alaska skews libertarian on personal freedoms, and there has been little sustained political effort to tighten adult entertainment laws beyond existing frameworks.
